Pandora ring wishes

So this post is a little behind schedule so first things first I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and enjoyed lots of family time and giving, I know I certainly did. With it being Christmas and all I have been extremely busy and my blog definitely took a back seat and literally nothing got done - apart from this collage of gorgeous rings above. I am definitely a ring person and even more so a silver ring person. I love wearing rings and I feel lost when I don't have them on (they are pretty much glued to me though). Hence why I created this wish list to showcase my very favourite rings to all you lovely readers.

Pandora offer some gorgeous rings and these are just a select few of my favourites. Considering this post was meant to be up before Christmas, I was actually lucky enough to get 2 of the rings from this wish list above! I got the purple amethyst birthstone ring and the one below with all the small silver hearts. They are even more beautiful in person, these pictures just don't do them justice.

I find these rings so simple and easy to wear, I mean they literally go with anything and everything. If you're a silver girl like me then you'll definitely love them. Also the 2 I got are perfect worn together and stacking them. There are so many different styles to choose from and I already want some more to jazz up more of my fingers! I definitely think the star or the plain twisted one is next on my list for my plain left hand, he he.

This is just a short and hopefully sweet post showing you my new favourite rings and a couple of which I got myself this Christmas. Again I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and break from work, of which I return tomorrow -yay :/

Revlon Lip Butter in Red Velvet

As promised, but slightly delayed, another lipstick post. Last week and this week are probably the busiest ever for me, the first deadlines for two uni assignments, including placement, work and a little bit of a social life. Safe to say it's been hectic but I'm sure it won't be the worst during my university years.

A while back, with thanks to Tanya Burr (you may have seen in my latest haul post), you may have seen that I purchased this Revlon lip butter in the shade Red Velvet. It's absolutely perfect for this time of the year both colour and product wise. I'd actually been looking for a dark red lipstick recently and this one fitted that slot perfectly. Again, a long while back, I reviewed a lip butter just in a different shade and said that I wanted to try one which was more pigmented. So even though it's a while back I've finally done it and I'm so pleased I did. If you did read my other lip butter post then you'll know how much I loved it then and not a lot has changed.

The Revlon lip butters are super moisturising so perfect for those drier lips in the colder months. The extra pigmentation doesn't cling to those dry patches just adds a lovely amount of colour to your lips. It has great lasting power and when it does start to fade it does so evenly and leaves your lips tinted nicely for your next application. The packaging is pretty with a quilted effect and a colour co-ordinated lid.

Overall, as with my other lip butter, I love these lipsticks and will definitely keep buying more shades! They are perfect for every season and there's definitely a colour for every season too! If you'd like to check out my other lip butter post in the shade 'Pink Lemonade' then click here :-)

Witch Anti-Blemish Skin Clearing Primer

Slightly delayed post this/last week, I would usually upload a post on a Sunday (yesterday) but I was up at the crack of dawn and on my 3 hour journey to the Clothes Show Live, which was super exciting! So that's the reason for the last post but I had such a great day at the Clothes Show yesterday so in my eyes it was all worth it! I had also originally planned a post for today but then realised it was another lipstick post and didn't want to post two of those up in a row so have delayed the lipstick until next week so keep your eyes peeled for that. Instead today I have a lovely new primer review for you.

Now I've actually had this primer for quite some time now in my make up draws but it's one of the products I really enjoy using then completely forget to blog and tell you guys about. I'm all over primers that help with my oily and spot prone skin hence why this one has been added to my collection. I love Witch's skin care range as it is aimed to help with that spot prone/anti-blemish skin type and that's exactly what this primer does.

It's a super smooth consistency and effortlessly glides over your face, it really does just feel nice to put on your skin first thing in the morning. It then also means that my foundation applies really nicely over the top. Witch products don't include any nastiness (products) so doesn't aggravate your skin and helps soothe the blemishes. I must point out though this does not get rid of your spots/blemishes, it helps your skin stop the prevention of spots and I've found it also helps cover the ones you do have up nicely.

One thing this isn't the best at is keeping my make up in place for a long period of time. Now I believe that's due to me having very oily skin but saying that it's not one of the worst primers, for staying power, that I've ever tried. It definitely gives me a good 5 hours wear before I am needing to get my blotting paper and powder out for a touch up. So it's not amazing nor is it completely naff, it's just mediocre.

Overall I really enjoy using this primer on a daily basis although I would love to find this exact formula maybe that would also help my oiliness a bit more! I'd definitely recommend this to anyone with the same skin type as me (spot prone) as it does work wonders. I'd love to know if you've tried this and your thoughts on it? Or any other Witch products you would recommend :-)

MAC Crosswires Cremesheen Lipstick

This week seems to have felt very long so today I bring you my FIRST EVER MAC lipstick!! I finally now know what all you bloggers are chatting about when you talk about these lipsticks. What better post to bring you than a beautiful new lipstick now added to my collection.

I was very over whelmed at the MAC counter, the amount of lipsticks is just crazy and with it being my first lipstick I was unsure about what to go for. Yes I did have shades in mind which I had been looking at and previously seen so I had a rough idea. After a lot of thought I finally picked up the shade called 'Crosswires'. It's a beautiful pinky orange shade, if those colours had a baby this would be it, call it coral-y if you wish. It's a cremesheen finish so not a full on colour, more of an everyday colour for me, definitely still noticeable

The finish is gorgeous, it glides on super smoothly as the cremesheen finish would suggest. It's ever so creamy which I like especially as it's winter and my lips are very dry! Although it can tend to cling to dry patches I just scrub and moisturise my lips before applying. It has pretty good staying power and even when it does start to fade, it does so evenly and leaves a lovely tint on the lips. This also does not feel heavy on the lips, nice and light as if you're not even wearing lipstick, again perfect for everyday.

The packaging is lovely and sturdy. It doesn't feel cheap and plastic like so there's (hopefully) no prone to breaking when chucked into a handbag. It's simple chic black and silver packaging with MAC written both on the lid and inside. It's sort of bullet shaped which is a nice small touch. It doesn't feel cheap which is obviously a good thing when you're paying £15 for a lipstick which is obviously on the steep end.

Overall I'm really pleased with my first MAC purchase and will probably, more than definitely be buying more! I've definitely got a few more shades on my mental list.
What do you think of MAC Crosswires? I'd love to know! :-)

Joules wish list

So right now I should probably be writing my uni assignment but hey, here's a new blog post for you! (about time too hey!) But it's true, my blog has had to kind of take a back seat since I've started uni simply due to the work load and the lack of free time I have at the moment. Doing a placement and being at uni and having a job is rather a lot to tackle, I'm sure you'll agree if you do the same. But anyway browsing the Joules website after receiving emails from them about all their new products and offers etc but I'm only focusing on two specific items from them which I adore.

Joules range of Quilted Jackets are very well known. Everyone loves a quilted jacket from Joules, well I certainly do. They are simply timeless, they do a range of different colours in the first one pictured but I specifically liked this olive green although I was also drawn to the gorgeous raspberry colour (which you can see by clicking the link above). There's also another version of jacket which is again timeless but with a hood. No word of a lie a coat with a hood is always a winner with me, when you find yourself in that situation with no umbrella and no hood, what do you do? Wish you had both or one of those things! So the need for a hood, especially in the UK is a must! Joules jackets also have the most gorgeous lining either a pretty floral or an on trend tartan which I think tops off the look of these lovely jackets.

Joules range of Duvet Covers are simply to die for! My oh my, they are just gorgeous and would look perfect in that kind of shabby chic bedroom. Personally I love the floral ones (as you can see the two I've chosen are both floral) but there are a few other patterns to choose from. I believe these are relatively new to Joules, forgive me if I'm wrong, and they do kind of remind me of the Cath Kidston kind of style but obviously with their Joules spin on it. The other cool thing about these duvet covers is that they are reversible, which I think is a nice feature to have. So if you're not feeling the floral (in this case) then these two have a nice and simple stripe on the reverse which you can also have on show. They include tonnes of different colours within the pattern so your bedroom could really be any colour but I think I'd like it with a plain, simple wall as the duvet would then look like more of a statement piece in the room.

Overall I love Joules, especially the jackets and new home section but they obviously have a lot more to offer on their website which you can check out too! All their fashion items are pretty timeless and don't really go out of fashion which is nice when you're spending that little bit more on items of clothing. I'd love to know your favourite piece from Joules :-) Hope you're all having a nice and relaxing Sunday.. now I need to think assignment... xo

Autumn Boots haul

As it's now fully Autumn (even though it's completely feeling like Winter) I felt the need to slightly add to my make up collection with some new autumnal bits and bobs. Boots also currently have 3 for 2 on all make up so it's even more tempting to purchase the goodies that you've wanted for a while now.

So onto what I purchased.. the first thing I really wanted was a new autumnal coloured blush and after watching Tanya Burr's autumn make up haul I opted for this one from Maybelline in the shade 'Flash Plum'. It's the most gorgeous plum colour, as the name suggests, it has a slight shimmer to it but it is the perfect autumnal blush colour in my eyes.

Next a few bits from Rimmel. When I actually purchased the Rimmel bits they were on a different offer which was when you spend £10 you got the mascara for free. So I picked up this foundation, I'm always after a foundation which will help keep me matte for as long as possible. I actually tried a sample of this from a magazine and really liked it so thought I'd give the full size a go. I also picked up the Scandal Eyes Kohl liner in Nude. I've tried using a white eyeliner before but just wasn't so keen on the outcome so heard someone say they used this nude coloured one the same way you would a white one but for more of a natural look. These are so easy to use and simply just glide onto the eyelid which I love. Once I'd got those 2 bits I got the Scandal Eyes Flex mascara which is a nice deal in my eyes, I'm yet to try the mascara but always like Rimmel mascaras so am excited too.

I then got 2 nail varnishes, one from Sinful Colors in the shade 'Envy' which is a lovely dark forest green which I thought was perfect for autumn. I love these nail varnishes as they are long lasting and a bargain at only £1.99! I then picked up Barry M in 'Raspberry' which every blogger raves about so I thought I needed to try it for myself. I also love Barry M nail polishes, again a cheap price, and I love this colour - not so autumnal but still think it would look lovely.

Then as I said I'm always after products to help with my oily skin so I saw this moisturiser on offer so thought I'd give it a whirl! It's oil free so perfect for anyone with oily skin and helps keep the oiliness at bay. You can use this either in the morning or at night time which is something I really like as it doesn't mean you have to buy 2 separate moisturisers for both morning and night. Also a good moisturiser is essential for these colder months to keep your skin nice and hydrated.

As everyone has always raved about the Collection lasting perfection concealer, which I also love, I thought I would try something else from their range and I got the Illuminating Touch concealer. I needed a new concealer for under my eyes, something that is illuminating and just simply lights up the under eye area and removes those horrible looking bags. It's not the normal wand concealer, it has a brush and you twist the bottom for the product to come out which I think is quite a nice concept.

Finally I picked up another Revlon lip butter which is also another product I saw and loved from Tanya Burr's haul video. I love the Revlon lip butters but the one that I currently have doesn't have a massive colour pay off so I really wanted to try one with more colour pay off. This one in the shade 'Red Velvet' does exactly that, it's a gorgeous deep red which is perfect for this time of the year. The lip butters are so moisturising as well so they help keep your lips soft in the cold weather outside!

So that's my Boots haul finished! I have even picked up 3 more bits since as the 3 for 2 offer is just to hard too miss. I'm really excited to try all of these products and be able to get a full review together for you guys. But I feel that my make up bag is pretty set now for the autumn and winter months. I'd love to know if you've picked up anything in this Boots offer? Or if you've tried anything which I picked up and your thoughts :-) Now time for a bath before watching the X Factor! xo

Lush Bubblegum lip scrub & Tea tree toner water

As you may well know there has been a few things from Lush that I have been lusting after for quite some time now (if you don't know then feel free to check out my latest Lush wish list). Now there is a Lush shop in my local city but it's slightly out of the way and to be honest it's not the first shop I think to visit when I am shopping. But recently when I did go shopping with my mum we happened to be the right end of the city, where Lush was, so it was the perfect time to pop in.

I do sometimes feel that when you walk into a Lush store than you can feel bombarded by the staff members and that's something that I particularly don't like. On this occasion I wasn't completely pounced on, I was approached by a guy who worked there and when I actually did need help he was very informative. Now I was looking to end up gathering a couple more items but one was out of stock and the other he ended up giving me two sample pots of so I actually didn't bother buying the full size until I had tried it. He gave me a sample of the Cupcake face mask, I have tried it once already and did really enjoy it. As it is a fresh face mask it does have to be kept in the fridge and does only have a 3 week shelf life which is the one downside to this product but I'll report back on this after using it more!

Firstly I got what everyone always always raves about.. the bubblegum lip scrub. I had an old lip scrub from Lush which I loved, it was a vanilla scent/taste but unfortunately it had passed it's date, so what a better time to invest. I'm not keen on the other lip scrubs so I instantly knew that I wanted to pick this one up. The colour obviously attracts you as it's a pretty vibrant pink! It's a bubblegum scent and taste both of which are very sweet, so if you don't have that sweet tooth then this one probably isn't for you. Like I said I've tried their lip scrub before and absolutely loved it. They are very invigorating and really help to get rid of those dry lips which I really suffer from this time of the year. All you simply do it apply it to your lips giving it a bit of a scrub then you lick the goodness off and voila! I definitely recommend this product to anyone who suffers from dry lips as it's the perfect scrub to buff those lips.

Secondly I picked up the tea tree toner water, also featured in my wish list, I've had my eye on it for a while. Also as my frequent readers may know, I suffer from oily and spot prone skin so am always on the look out for something to set the oiliness back for a while and to help with those pesky spots. This toner water claims to do exactly that so of course it was right up my street and I couldn't leave it. Also with the price tag of only £3.95 it was a bargain price too (this price is for the smaller sized bottle). I've been using this ever since I purchased it and I absolutely love it. It's super duper simple to use which is also a bonus, you can either spray this onto a cotton pad to wipe over your face or simply just spray it straight onto your face ensuring that your eyes are tightly shut of course. I spray this onto my face morning (before my make up) and night after washing my face and it really does help my skin. You can pretty much tell instantly, after the product has dried on your face, that the oiliness has reduced super fast, yes it really is that noticeable. So in the morning when applying my make up after it really helps as oiliness is obviously the main thing that makes my make up slide through out the day. I can't say whether it has improved the look of my spots but it definitely helps calm them whenever you have a big bruiser. Obviously this product contains tea tree which is an amazing ingredient when it comes to spot prone skin.

Overall I do love Lush's products and highly recommend everyone to try them out as there really is something for everyone and everything! I love these two products I purchased and they probably will be purchased again sometime in the future. I'd love to know if you've tried either of these products? Or what your favourite Lush product is? :-)

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation

Well hello November! It seems to have come around so quickly and Christmas just seems super close now which is a pretty scary thought! (and also exciting) It's also now just gone quarter to 5 and it's dark outside, I mean that's depressing in itself.

I've actually had this foundation for quite some time now and can't seem to think of a good enough reason as to why I haven't reviewed it on my blog yet because ever since I purchased it, I fell in love with it. I picked up the shade 52 Vanilla which is pretty much perfect for my skin colour. I know Bourjois don't have the biggest range of colours in their foundations but this shade suited me perfectly and I think the other shades could be worked with if there's not a perfect match for you.

The formula of this foundation is a bit different to other normal foundations as it is gel based. It's simply just a thickened liquid which I rather like as when pumped onto the back of your hand it doesn't run everywhere, ha ha! (you can see this in the last picture) It's a super easy formula to work with and I pair this with my Real Techniques expert face brush and I love the finished look. The coverage is light to medium but can be buildable depending on your desired coverage. One hint is to not apply too much of this foundation just to avoid cakeyness due to the gel formula but when buffed into the skin it leaves a lovely natural look.

I have oily skin and due to this foundation being semi-matte it's neither here nor there really but I find it works well with my skin type. It doesn't come out fully matte but not super shiny either which I actually really like, I didn't think I would due to having oily skin but it works. It gives a nice healthy glow which if you also have oily skin then you know how hard it is to find a foundation with the best of both worlds. My skin is also due to imperfections/blemishes and I find this foundation doesn't cover them completely. If that's something you're looking for then this foundation wouldn't be the right coverage for you but once I've finished my foundation and applied my concealer the imperfections have pretty much disappeared.

Also due to having oily skin this foundation doesn't last me all day, it claims to last 16 hours but whether that's just due to my skin type I don't know. In the morning I apply this as I said with my Real Techniques expert face brush, using a primer before, powder after and then a make up setting spray. I would say it needs a touch up after maybe 6-8 hours for me personally but that's my lovely oily skin kicking in unfortunately.

This foundation does have a scent to it and it's rather floral/fruity and it's not over powering. It's actually a rather nice smell and doesn't affect the foundation at all. None of my other foundations have a scent so I didn't think it would be something I would like but honestly it's rather pleasant. The packaging is ok, like other drug store foundation it's nothing spectacular but it has a pump. A foundation without a pump is pretty useless to me.

Overall I really enjoy using this foundation on an everyday basis as it's not too heavy but covers what I want to cover! It's an enjoyable foundation to use due to the scent and how it's easy to apply making it quick and easy if you're ever in a rush for work :)

I'd definitely recommend this foundation to anyone with any skin type as I think it's suitable for all! It's an all rounder foundation, one for everyday and one for any time of the year. I will definitely repurchase (and as you can see from the state of my bottle in my pictures it has been a well loved foundation in my make up bag, he he) Bourjois foundation's are definitely one of my favourites from the high street! I'd love to know if you've tried this foundation or any other foundation from Bourjois? And your thoughts on them? :) xo

Boohoo wish list

Well what a blustery morning it is for those in the UK, I've already ventured out to work whilst it was like playing dodgems on the roads avoiding fallen down trees and branches, and I've come straight back home again. Unfortunately there was absolutely no electricity at my nursery so I've got a day off, woo hoo! Although I really wished I could have stayed in bed other than getting up, using liquid eyeliner as whiskers to make me look like a cat (we were supposed to be having a Halloween party today). So overall it's been a pretty hectic morning already so what better post to do than a wishlist, actually it's pretty bad because in this mood it's twice as tempting to buy.

Normally Boohoo isn't somewhere I would normally shop, no real reason there's just so many websites I forget half of them when browsing online. But I came across it the other day and found some bloody lovely things if I do say so, I simply fell in love and then made a wish list. Boohoo is a relatively cheap online site which offers everything fashion and accessory wise so it's perfect.

Firstly the smock trend, it's been about for a little while and seems to just be everywhere, don't get me wrong I love the trend it's just one of those 'can I pull it off myself?' kinds of trends. So on Boohoo I located smock tops which I thought was different to the usual smock dresses I've seen. They had a few patterns to choose from, mostly floral, and to be honest I liked all of the patterns but this one seemed the most autumnal out of all of them colour wise.

Oversized jumpers in the Autumn/Winter is a must have for me! I literally live in them so the two in this wish list are no exception! The plain olive green one looks super chunky and again comes in many different colours so if the green isn't your favourite definitely check out to see what other colours they offer. I would definitely get these in the next size up too so that they're nice and warm but that's just how I like to wear them. The other jumper in this wish list is pretty similar but this one has a really pretty floral pattern on, I've seen this kind of jumper before and really like the pattern. Again as the other jumper there were a couple of other colours to choose from and again I'd get it nice and big for the winter.

I seem to have a bit of an obsession with midi skirts and seem to have collected a fair few since the summer, so it's no surprise that I've included one in this wish list. I love this one as it has autumnal colours in and obviously floral which again is very in for the season. I think paired with a chunky jumper and some boots it's the perfect outfit for autumn and then adding some chunky tights when it gets even colder in the winter (which it definitely will do if you're living in the UK like me, boo!)

Finally a chunky knit cardigan, they're always in because the look of them is just so effortless. Cardigans always seem to be the one thing in my wardrobe that I do not have enough of, especially chunky knitted ones like this one. It's also a gorgeous space dye print of blue, purple and red which I really like and not just your simple plain cable knit ones (which I also absolutely love). This one is also priced really well compared to other knitted cardigans I've seen which I think can sometimes be a bit too pricey so that nudged me towards this one as well I must say. Cardigans can be worn with literally everything and anything so they really are a staple piece like the chunky knit jumpers.

So that's my Boohoo wish list! I'm holding out until payday on Friday when hopefully all of these beauties will be mine, hehe :) I'd love to know what you think of Boohoo and if you've shopped there before! Now it's time to chill and watch a bit of This Morning, happy Monday!

Soap & Glory Archery Brow Tint and Pencil

So today's post is being written in bed with a hangover watching Angus, thongs and perfect snogging, so if I ramble then I'm going to apologise now.  I've been out two nights in a row (I know, rebel) and today I'm paying for it. Anyway you know those products that you want to try for ages and ages but just never seem to get your hands on? Probably mainly because you're forgetful or can't be bothered even though you want it and just want it to appear in your make up bag the next morning. Well this product was one of those for me. It was one I'd wanted for a while but never got my hands on until recently and boy am I glad I did.

I've tried quite a range of Soap & Glory make up products and honestly haven't had a bad thing to say about them and this one does not differ. It's such a versatile and easy product to use. Before using this brow product I was using my HD Brow kit which I loved but sometimes found that my brows looked maybe too dark and basically just not how I wanted them to look. So when I picked this up I was hoping that I would be able to create a more natural brow look.

This product has two ends to it, one is the brow tint (basically a felt tip pen) and the other a precision shape pencil. The one thing I was skeptical about was the fact that it only came in two shades; one blonde and one brown, so I didn't know if the brown one was going to be the right shade for my brows. This shade is called 'Brownie Points'. But with that idea in my head when I tried it for the first time it was perfect so I think it really can work with a range of different brown coloured eye brows. The packaging is nice, simple and easy to use which is obviously a bonus and I always find that Soap & Glory have the nicest packaging on their products anyway.

Like I've said this product is easy to use, the first time I used it I first applied the tint throughout my brows and then went along with the pencil and made sure they were nice and even and I absolutely loved the look it created. At first I was unsure about which way round to use either end but found the way I done it easy enough so that's how I've been wearing it since. I also love the fact that on lazier days or working days that I can just use the tint end and be done within a matter of a minute and they simply look fuller but still completely natural. So when you're in a rush getting ready for work you know that your brows will not take you long at all. Obviously you could also just use the pencil end I just personally find it easier to use the tint as it gives more colour more quickly.

The staying power of this product is flawless, I do set them after applying this product with some clear mascara so I would guess that that helps a little bit. But with having oily skin they are not sliding down my face half way through the day, attractive. I guess one slight worry I have in the back of my head about this product is how long the tint end will last. With it being pretty much like a felt tip pen you know after a while it will dry out but hopefully not too soon, with using it everyday I'm definitely getting my use out of it! I believe this product was around the £10 mark which could be seen as rather expensive but I would 100% recommend this product to absolutely anybody, I honestly do not have a bad word to say about it. It is definitely my new all time favourite brow product.

Overall I think you'll agree that I love this product, because I haven't said that enough hey! I'd love to know if you've tried this product and your thoughts on it :) I definitely need to broaden my Soap & Glory cosmetic horizon so would also love to hear your recommended products too!? xo

MUA Haul

Another haul I hear you say, well yes I am afraid so but I've been currently purchasing a few bits from the same shop/brand and find them a nice and easy post to do, and also hopefully you guys like reading them! This haul wasn't planned, MUA had a percentage off their whole website when you spent £15 (I think it was 15% but could have been more I've totally forgotten sorry!) so I jumped straight on as there were a few bits that I needed to add to my current make up collection (that's probably a total lie, I more than definitely have enough make up but hey ho I'm a blogger).

MUA, if you didn't know, is a very cheap and affordable make up brand which is available in Superdrug. But recently I noticed in my local Superdrug that it no longer exists, gutted. So when I saw this offer I couldn't resist. The main thing I wanted to get were some new blushers as mine recently are very shimmery and summery so I've been in the wrong season. But I couldn't only pick a couple of those up...

First I got 2 new lipsticks, MUA have recently released a new matte range and I've never tried a matte lipstick so for £1 I thought why not. I picked up the shade called 'Peachy Keen' (the matte lipstick is in the white packaging) it's a lovely peachy/pinky colour which I like but I am yet to try this yet. I'm hoping it won't be too drying as I have relatively dry lips anyway so not sure if this will work for me. The next lipstick I got was just from the normal range in 'Shade 12', it's a bright hot pink colour. I'm not completely sold on this product as it's like glittery which I really don't think I will like on the lips! You could not tell it was glittery on the website so pretty disappointed but I'll give it a go.

Next I got 2 nail varnishes again only £1 and I've tried MUA polishes before and actually really like them so couldn't resist. You'd think that I need purples in my collection, well no I don't but I really love these 2 shades. The darker purple is called 'Deepest Purple' and this is the one shade of purple I don't think I own, I have tonnes of lilac's and pastel purples but not a deep one and thought it would be perfect for autumn/winter. Next I picked up the shade called 'Frozen Yoghurt' which I absolutely love. I would say it's quite a blue toned purple and quite a pastel shade.

I then got 2 blushers, as I said this was one of the reasons this haul happened. My 2 favourite blushers at the moment are rather shimmery and summery as I've said so I wanted to branch out and try some new coloured blushers. The first I got is in 'Shade 2' this is the one on the left in the last picture. This one is the more pink blusher, matte colour so no shimmer involved. Secondly I got 'Shade 4' which I was more excited to try, the one on the right in the picture. This one is more orange/peachy and I really don't think I've ever tried a blush in this colour. For £1 you really can't go wrong and for experimenting with colours they are the perfect blushers to do so.

The final 2 things I got was a new brush, this one is called 'F4' and is the face powder brush. My current powder brush has totally gone horrible and stiff so I thought I'd try one from MUA. It's lovely and soft on the face and was only £3.75 so a total bargain. I've only used this once but I enjoyed using it, although think anything would have been better than my old one now! And last but not least I picked up the Pro-Base Fixing Mist. Recently I've been loving using a face mist to help keep my make up in place, this is only the second one I've tried as I don't seem to see them often in the drug store so thought I'd try this one. This was the most expensive at £5 but obviously you still can't complain at the price, it's also quite a large bottle so will keep me going for a while!

And that's my MUA haul complete! I love MUA for cheap and affordable make up and like I said for experimental use and if you then find a product you love then it's even better! Hopefully I've got a hidden gem in one of these items! I'd love to know if you've tried any of the items I purchased or what your favourite MUA product is? :-)

High end beauty wish list

Hello! It's been another busy week for me again and yesterday was my first day off in two weeks! My god I was (and most probably still am) shattered, the whole uni, placement and work is getting to me but fingers crossed hopefully I will soon get into the swing of things and keep posting regularly. Since having a few evenings free I simply find myself lusting over new things and now I'm not working full time due to uni, I find myself with less money = problem. So I've built up a small high end beauty wish list.

1. Origins clear improvement mask is something I have wanted to try for a very long time, having that problematic skin prone to break outs I've heard this clay mask works wonders for this. I've never tried an Origins product but it's always the website I check up on and always a brand I've wanted to try as they are so lusted over. Alongside this mask I'd love to try the spot treatment which many people rave over too.

2. Benefit hydra smooth lip colour is a relatively new product from benefit. They are lipsticks which come in different coverages such as sheer, medium and full. As soon as I saw these hit the internet they instantly caught my eye due to the unique packaging and range of colours across different coverages. Although the packaging looks very unique and different I feel it could be a bit clumpy and large but that doesn't stop me wanting to try it! It has a slightly special feeling about it and I've tried many benefit products before and loved all of them.

3. Benefit stay flawless primer, another Benefit product! Since this primer was released I've tried to reason with myself about whether or not to purchase but to be honest I really just want to try it! Again another pretty packaging from Benefit and I like the fact that it's a primer on a stick and not a liquid based primer. I think this is one of the reasons as to why I'm intrigued into trying it!

4. MAC Crosswires lipstick, I can't tell you how long I've wanted to purchase this particular lipstick or simply just any other lipstick from MAC. Yes you heard right, I've never tried a MAC lipstick and my lord I so want to. They are obviously so raved about everywhere in the blogging world and out. Since I haven't really been into lipstick for that long, I now think I need to purchase one to see what all of the fuss is about! I've had my eye on Crosswires but I can't get over how many there are to choose from! I think I really need to head down to my nearest counter and have a real nosey! That is one downside to MAC for me, there is only one counter which isn't too close to me so it's rather annoying to get my hands on!

So there we have it, probably only a slice of my beauty wish list right now! There probably are many more but these are the four I've wanted to try for the longest amount of time and which I've heard the best about :-) Let me know if you've tried any of the products that I've mentioned and what you think about them, I'd love to know! xo

Avon Haul

First things first I'm sorry for the lack of posts/tweets, if you didn't know about my new adventure (you can read that post here) then I started uni last week and literally haven't stopped since. I don't think I have ever been so busy, apart from working in retail around Christmas time. I also haven't had a day off since last Monday and my next day off is Sunday so if I think I'm tired now I need to think what I will be like on Saturday (zombie). So with a short afternoon off I thought it was the perfect time to write a blog post for you.

Onto the haul.. My mum always gets the Avon catalogue and I always have a sneaky peak to see if there's anything I want to order. She's been getting the catalogue for years and I actually really like the make up and other bits and bobs that Avon have to offer. They do some really good deals and I've got one to tell you about today that I just couldn't resist.

The first things I got was this really pretty eye shadow quad. I love purple and green eyeshadows especially as I have brown eyes so when I saw this quad I thought it was perfect. Now I'm not the best at eyeshadow, I don't actually wear it that often and when I do I'm no master at it. So each shade in this quad has a number on it and then on the back of the box is a small diagram showing you which shade to put where, which is something I really love. It makes it super easy for beginners, like me. I have tried this quad and absolutely love the colours, they are really well pigmented and long lasting. I really want to use this quad on a night out so I can make the look slightly more dramatic. I believe this was also only £5 which is an absolute bargain for four eye shadow shades.

Next I got this super duper awesome mascara, I mean just look at it! I'd seen in it in the Avon catalogue before I ordered and couldn't resist the cool shape it had. It looks a bit scary and does take a little bit of getting used to when applying it simply due to the completely different shape to the normal wand mascaras. I've only used this a few times but I am really loving it already, again if you don't know me then I'm very fussy with mascaras, but the formula of this one is lovely. It's easy to use, glides on easily and really lengthens and thickens the lashes. I paid £10 for this mascara which I'd class the slightly higher end of the 'high street' but this is where my good deal comes in. I paid £10 for the mascara but as I purchased this I got the concealer, eye make up remover, eye shadow primer and eye shadow brush FREE! And those freebies were meant to come to just over £20 which I thought was an absolute bargain and therefore couldn't resist. I can't actually comment on any of the freebies as yet as I haven't tried them but I'm very excited too.

Finally I picked up this hair straightening comb, it was new in and instantly caught my eye when looking at the page. I don't have naturally straight hair and if I want it straight it can take me a fair while to actually straighten it all as I have so much hair. So when I saw this I thought it was a pretty good tool to help straighten my hair from when it's wet. I believe it was only around £3 so not breaking the bank and I'm only yet to try it the once so far. I tried using it on wet hair and using this tool alongside with my hairdryer to dry it straight. I'm afraid to say I didn't enjoy it, I found as my hair is rather long it really made my arms ache to use and also the comb wasn't very friendly. It really tended to pull my hair and that's one of my pet hates and all time worst things - me or people pulling my hair so this didn't make me enjoy this product. But don't get me wrong I'm going to give it more than one attempt!

So there it is, that's my Avon haul! I hope you enjoyed it and if you haven't checked out any Avon items before then I definitely recommend you do! Like I said you really can find some great deals :-) Now it's time for me to chill for the rest of the afternoon! Speak soon xo

The One and Only Tag

I enjoy doing Tag posts on my blog and also reading them amongst many other blogs. I simply just find them fun to write and some of them really get me thinking mainly about beauty products. I asked on Twitter for a new tag to feature on my blog and Angelica from One Little Vice replied with this tag called 'The One and Only'. I loved this idea and thought it would be lots of fun to think of my absolute make up staple items. The idea of this tag is to think of one, and only one, make up product from each category. So here goes!

The Question is: If you could only have one ... what would it be? And, in a few words, why?

Primer
I've not tried that many primers as they're quite new to my make up essentials but I'd definitely have to say the Benefit POREfessional. It's so easy to apply, makes your face feel so smooth and keeps make up in place!
Foundation
Definitely Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum. This is my all time favourite foundation, although I am currently trying another of their foundations which I think I will equally love!

Concealer
It has to be the infamous Collection Lasting Perfection. I have two shades; one lighter for under my eyes and one my actual colour for spots and blemishes. It really is just such an all rounder.
Powder
Rimmel Stay Matte, I've literally used this for years. It was the first make up item I think I ever got and I've used it ever since! I suffer from oily skin and this really does keep it at bay.
Blusher
Now blusher is one of the things I always change up in my make up routine, I never stick to the same one for very long, then go back to them after a little while. So at the moment it's 17 Blush in China Pink, I definitely think I need to invest in a more autumnal shade though as this one's quite summery.
Bronzer
Honestly I never really use bronzer, it really is just one of the make up products that I'm not fussed about. But if I did pick it would be MUA Mosaic Bronzer. It's got light and darker tones to it which I like as it's not too heavy.

Highlighter
Again not something I use in my everyday make up but I do love Benefit High Beam. It's such a gorgeous pearly pink and really easy to apply. I definitely need to branch out a bit more with highlighters as I do think they are really pretty on the skin!
Make up brush
This is pretty easy, it has to be my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. It's such an amazing brush, gives a lovely flawless looking finish and is easy to blend with. I use this also for my concealer sometimes which works really well too.
Eyebrows
It's a new one for me but from now on a definite staple. It's Soap & Glory Archery in Brownie Points. Oh my it's my new favourite toy, it's so easy to apply and I love having the pencil and tint altogether in one product.

Eyeshadow
Again not an everyday product but I'm really trying to change this. My current go to is the Maybelline Color Tattoo's, I'm especially loving On and On Bronze but another newbie to my collection is Metallic Pomegranate. These are super easy and quick to apply for everyday which is why I love them.
Eyeliner
This product was again a very early purchase and one that I have repurchased for many years is the Collection Fast Stroke Liquid Eyeliner. It's amazing, stays on all day and is super easy to apply giving thicker or thinner lines.

Mascara
This is the hardest one for me, I never seem to buy the same mascara more than once unless I truly love it. And the one I've repurchased more than any others is the L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes. The formula is amazing and really curls my lashes, also keeps them curled all day!
Lip product
Again this one is pretty hard but I think I'm going for Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Notting Hill Nude. It really is just an everyday colour which I love as I'm not a very bright lip girl unless I'm on a night out! I've also got this same product in Sweetheart Tulips which again is such a gorgeous but brighter colour.
Lip Balm
How is this possible? Lip balm's are things I always buy and literally must have hundreds of them! I think I'm going to have to be boring and say Vaseline Cocoa Butter. It's simple does the trick and smells nice. For tinted Lip Balms I'd go with the Maybelline Baby Lips though.
Nail Polish
Again, how can I choose just one? I cannot choose a specific colour but brand wise it would either be Essie or Rimmel Lycra Pro. Ah I can't decide between the two! Essie definitely have more of a colour range so maybe I'd go with them!

Right so there it is! My all time favourites, it was actually quite tricky and I definitely wanted to choose more than one for quite a few of those questions, but I came out of the other end, completed! I hope you enjoyed this tag post and I'd love to know what your products would be. So having said that I'd love to tag you all to do this and let me know in the comments if you do! :-)

Cold Shoulders

Shirt - TK Maxx (Glamorous)
Jeans - Primark
Watch - Michael Kors
Ring and Bracelet - Accessorize

The UK weather has definitely turned into Autumn now, the knit cardigans and fluffy socks have come back out for another season. So why not, on this sunny yet chilly Monday morning, take a few outfit snaps. Recently I may have been spending slightly a bit too much money, considering I feel I should be saving due to becoming a student in the next couple of weeks. But when shops have all of their new autumn/winter stock in, it's hard to resist spending. Although my outfit isn't representing autumn today it's still a new outfit I purchased over the last week.

The cut out or open shoulders trend has kind of been and gone over spring/summer but I've only just embraced it. I was browsing in TK Maxx the other day, bearing in mind I had to travel a fair way in order to go to the only good store that's within a respectful distance from me. My sister had also been in there recently and picked up some good bargains so I wanted a go! My sister was also the one to introduce me to TK Maxx, not that I hadn't heard of it, but the fact that I had never shopped in there and now I love it! So I popped in and I honestly resisted so many good bargains I can not tell you! I was a very good girl but I did get a couple of bits, this shirt being one of them. It was also a bargain at only £9.99, hence why I couldn't resist. The monochrome look is something I really like as you could also pair it with something of more colour on the bottom. It is also very versatile, I definitely think you could wear this on a night out or how I have just for an everyday casual look.

Since clearing out my wardrobe recently I realised I don't have that many tops, hence this purchase, so when I saw this shirt I loved it. I love shirts, they are definitely an all year round item, the chiffon material of some of them is what I love. They are comfortable, easy to wear, easy to layer and normally pretty patterned. So when it comes to winter it's easy to just shove on a chunky knit jumper and have the collar poking out, sorted. I teamed this shirt with my new Primark jeans. Story for you, I've had a pair of Primark jeans for literally about 5 years, they were my absolute favourite, but they've died slowly so I've had to replace with these ones. I love Primark jeans firstly for the price, I paid £10 for these beauties and they just simply do the job. Secondly is the fit I find, especially the skinny jeans, that they fit really well in all areas. I'll be very, very pleased if these ones last half as long as my previous pair.

I'm very much a fan of casual and comfy, maybe that should be my motto. It's the one thing (or two) things I think about everyday when deciding what to wear. I'm very much a jeans person due to the comfy factor and also the fact that you can then put pretty much anything on the top half. Don't worry I don't wear jeans day in and day out but I do find myself reaching for them much more than anything else. I would then pair this outfit with a chunky knit cardigan for a casual look or a blazer for a slightly more formal look.

I hope you enjoyed this outfit post, I'm now off to chuck on a chunky knit cardigan to keep me cosy and warm! I'd love to know if you're a fan of TK Maxx and what bargains you've found :)
