The Body Shop Chocolate Deluxe Edition Gift Set
I have always been a lover of The Body Shop gift sets which come out around Christmas time so when I opened this beauty on Christmas day I was super duper excited. Not only because it was a gift set from The Body Shop but because the scent of everything included is CHOCOLATE. Yes, you read that correctly.
This set includes a lip butter, body butter, body scrub and shower gel all in the same chocolate scent. Honestly this chocolate scent smells bloody amazing and I cannot get enough of it. I'm more than likely to just be seen sniffing one of these four products every so often. Every product in this gift set is amazing, I've always loved everything from The Body Shop. The lip butter is amazing and leave your lips feeling super smooth. The body butter leaves your skin feeling silky and smooth and makes the scent linger even longer. The body scrub isn't too invasive on the skin and is perfect for everyday use if needed. And finally the shower gel makes every shower worth it.
I'm unsure if this whole gift set is a special edition or whether just certain products included. So if you can, pop into your local Body Shop and just give this chocolate scent a sniff because it honestly will blow you away! It's nothing too overpowering just the perfect chocolatey scent.
Overall you can tell I absolutely love this gift set I received on Christmas from my mum, she knows me too well. If I can get my hands on more when these beauties have run out then I definitely will be doing so! You can browse The Body Shop website here :-)

Palmers Cocoa Butter Natural Bronze Body Lotion
What beautiful weather we've finally received in the UK! It's the first proper sun that we've seen in a very long time but obviously, as with any weather, we were unprepared. The fact that I've literally had to live in summer dresses, shorts and vests without showing off an indecent amount of skin has meant that I've actually got myself a little bit of a tan going on, hallelujah! But before this all came about I purchased this lovely product and it's been my savior for my pasty legs.
I love the Palmers range, especially the cocoa butter, the smell is absolutely divine I cannot get enough of it! The fact that this product contains cocoa butter and vitamin E means that it's totally moisturising on the skin and makes it super soft. It's easy to apply, I just use my hands and make sure I wash my hands properly afterwards. Although this did leave slight trouble once leaving me with slight orangeness on the side of my finger nails (nasty looking) but that may have just been me. There is also the option of using a mitt obviously but other than that one time I haven't had any trouble using my hands.
The actual colour of the bronzer is fairly natural on first application and considering it's a gradual bronzer a lot more colour comes out than I'd imagined it would. It's still natural looking and not dark but just more colour than other gradual tanners. After a couple of days after application I'm left with a nicely built up natural looking tan which I love. You can obviously apply more for a darker looking tan, I tend to apply this once every other day as that way I find I get it more natural due to washing/showering in between applications.
Like I mentioned the application is easy and streak free as long as you make sure it's all rubbed in properly (stating the obvious) but I did find application hard around my ankles. You definitely need to spare the product around more 'difficult' areas. The smell is lovely but I find it does stick around for quite a while, not that it's all that bad as it smells of cocoa which is lovely. But I know some people may find this annoying. It also sinks into the skin pretty quickly so there's not too much drying time. Also this product is only around £5 something then I'd say it's definitely worth the price tag.
Overall I really like using this product and without a doubt when I need a top up tan I know I will get that from this. I think it's suitable for all skin tones simply as the colour control is in your hands (literally). This product takes minimal effort which is again something I love as after a shower you can just whack this on and voila! A lovely summer essential for those not so sunny days :) I'd love to know your thoughts on this product if you've tried it, if not then go purchase a bottle!

Happy Easter
I love days like today, it means so many different things for different people. Religion, family, food etc. For me personally it's all about family, as you can probably see by all the pictures. This is just a quick post to share my Easter weekend with you as unfortunately, within Retail, you don't get many days off so I am back to work tomorrow :( I had a lovely weekend filled with seeing all of my family, eating chocolate, roast dinners, walks in the cold and just quality time with the people who mean the most to me.
I am very much a family orientated girl so spending as much time with my family as possible always means a lot to me. I never want to miss out on a moment, although my job tends to pull me away from that. I seem to miss out on things such as family get togethers which I absolutely hate. So this weekend was super fun and stress free from work. Juggling my time between the two is always hard, you'll know exactly what I mean if you work within Retail. Late nights, long shifts and working weekends. As much as I do enjoy my job, I think I can speak for most people, spending time with the important people is so much more special.
Ramble over, this quick post is just to share my weekend and to say that I hope you too have had a lovely weekend filled with the things you love most. P.s. I hope you all think of me whilst I'm working my long 9 hour shift tomorrow if you have the day off ;) xo

Birthday celebrations 23/02/13
First is my outfit, I wore a dress from Primark which I love, I also have it in a red floral pattern which I have featured in an outfit post. I just love the shape of these dresses and there only £13 I believe which I think is a bargain! It was a pretty plain outfit just partnered with some silver accessories from Accessorize and my Michael Kors watch.
Next was my main birthday present from Mum and Dad which was a new camera! I was so excited about this, my old camera had done it's time and was on the way out simply because it was rather old. I love this one, not quite like the professional ones out there, but nonetheless is perfect for me. It also has Wi-Fi which I think is pretty darn amazing.
Then my two nieces and sister made me and my mum a birthday cake, to be honest it looked pretty amazing. We were told that once we cut it open we would be in for a 'surprise' and once we did, it was a pretty rainbow cake! It was pretty delicious too so overall they done a good job!
After that it was a quick testing out of my new camera and photo shoot for me, my two nieces and mum. My sister took a few (it's pretty hard to keep my nieces entertained with boring smiley pictures) so just thought I'd share one of those with you :)
Finally I just took a few pictures of some other bits and bobs I received in the morning from friends and family. I literally love all of my presents and again don't want these pictures to be taken the wrong way, just helping you guys be nosey ;) he he. I also must mention that my boyfriend got me converse, they are my new babies. They are also white so must be kept well away from any muddy puddles! I also went and visited my dad in hospital so was lovely to be able to see him for a couple of hours with the rest of my family, and I also received a couple of Cath Kidston bits from him which was lovely :)
Hope you enjoy this birthday post and having a nosey into my day :) See you this time next year, will be the big 21st then! xo
