L'Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Clay Re-Balancing Collection
As soon as I heard about this new range of products I knew that I wanted to try them out. I do suffer with oily roots and dry ends which is exactly what this range is aimed at. Boots were doing these three products which are; the shampoo, conditioner and mask, all for £10. I thought this was a great introductory offer however I'm not sure if Boots are still doing it. I've been using these three products together now for a few weeks so feel I can tell you all about my results using them.
So first things first you apply the mask onto dry roots and massage it in. At first I was a bit like what? But I guess it's to prep and get rid of as much oil from those roots as possible. It states to apply this relatively heavily so I do that all round my head and down my main parting. I then go round and massage it all in, you then have to leave it for 5 minutes. The first thing I noticed, and you will notice if you have used or are going to use this mask, is that it stains your fingers blue! Yes it's such a pain and it doesn't come off if you wash them straight after applying the mask. When I've been using these products it's when I've been in the bath and when I get out, my fingers have returned to normal colour, so I think they just need a good old soak.
You then go on to use the shampoo and conditioner as normal, after washing the mask out of course, and you have to make sure you thoroughly remove all traces of the mask from your hair. The shampoo and conditioner are pretty standard, they smell fresh and do the job. My hair does feel particularly soft after using this three step routine and I have really been enjoying doing so.
Onto the real deal, do it make my hair last longer in between washes? The answer is yes, I do get another day out of my hair when using these products. I can guarantee that I will have to use dry shampoo on the third day but that's no biggy as I would normally have to do that on the second day if I hadn't used these products. The only other downside to getting blue fingers is the slightly longer time period you need to do this. Obviously it's only 5 minutes but if you plan on doing this in the shower in the morning before work then you'll have to get in a bit earlier. I know it's not a huge difference but it's something to consider.
Overall I'm really impressed with these products and love that they do actually work in prolonging my hair washes. I've tried a couple of other products which claim to do this but they haven't worked so I'm glad these do. I would definitely recommend these products if you're hair type is like mine, I know hair types are different and these might not work for everyone but I can say they really do work for me. I'd love to hear your reviews if you've tried these products, let me know in the comments.

Soap & Glory No Clogs Allowed
Whilst on a bit of a splurge a couple of weeks back and browsing Boots online I came across this Soap & Glory mask. I was looking for a self heating face mask, after nicking some of my mums current one, and falling in love! This one also claimed great things which instantly made me want to try it, it also had some money off which was even better.
According to Soap & Glory, this face mask helps prevent breakouts and blemishes by deep cleaning your pores and the addition of glycerin also helps the skin feel soft and supple. As you know anything to help blemishes I am drawn to, so this was right up my street. And due to my blemishes I'm always after something to help soothe and make my face feel super soft. So when this product claimed those two things it went straight into my basket.
The application is slightly different to normal masks and make sure you really give this a shake before you dispense it otherwise it comes out all watery. Well first things first you slap it all over the face, which does slightly warm up. You then have to wet your hands and scrub the mask into your face with wet hands. This causes the mask to turn blue and this is when it really heats up, although not boiling, uncomfortable hot. It doesn't stay warm for too long so don't worry if your not a fan of this factor. Another great thing about this mask is that it only needs to be left on for 5 minutes! I'm not a fan of masks which you have to keep on for any longer than 10 minutes so this one is perfect.
The results are great and I am honestly in love with this face mask. It leaves my skin feeling so soft, I honestly can't explain, it's like a babies bottom. I've never tried anything that has made my skin feel this good after use and after only 5 minutes. As for my blemishes it leaves them a lot less red and angry. Also due to the exfoliating beads in this mask it helps get rid of the dryness of the spots to which is something I absolute dread when having spots. You also only have to use this mask once a week as well and it's such a treat when you do use it. I honestly cannot think of one bad thing about this product, if you haven't already you should definitely try it. You can buy it here from Boots for £11.50. Let me know if you've tried this mask and your thoughts :-)

Lush Mask of Magnaminty
This mask has totally wiped every other one of my face masks off the shelf recently and I cannot get enough of it. I'm not a frequent shopper in Lush but whenever I go in, I always walk out with something new to try. I popped in a few weeks ago to grab some Christmas bath bombs when I spotted this on a table as soon as I walked in and I know I instantly had to try it. The claims it was making were right up my street, as with any usual spot saving skin care item. So what do Lush say about this face mask?
"A multi-purpose mask with a mixture of gentle yet effective ingredients to clean, calm and clear the skin. Easily smoothed over the skin, this mask is made with peppermint oil to stimulate, marigold oil and chlorophyllin to treat the skin; evening primrose seeds and aduki beans to gently exfoliate as you remove it. You can use this mask anywhere."
I can actually say that I agree with everything Lush have said about this product. It's magic in a tub pretty much and I look forward to using it. So the colour of this product isn't exactly appealing, my mum always has a little laugh at me when I have this mask on and half the time I cannot move my face to do anything back, ha! It's super easy to apply and I just apply this to my problem areas, mainly my t zone and anywhere else I may have a pesky spot. I leave this on for around 5-10 minutes, depending on how much help my face needs and whilst it does it's magic. When it's time to rinse off, it gently scrubs your face so it's like a multi purpose product. It honestly instantly soothes my face when my spots are gnawing at my skin and are red raw. It softens the rest of my face and leaves it feeling really clean and soothed. The minty smell is relatively strong but I rather like it and it doesn't stick around for long as it tones down.
The appearance of my skin the morning after using this is just incredible. My spots have reduced a significant amount, although not all of them disappear completely (obviously that's pretty much impossible) there is definitely a difference that is really noticeable. The difference it has made makes me feel much more confident after using it which is pretty much priceless to me. If you suffer from spot prone/oily skin then this is 100% the product for you and I would recommend it to absolutely everyone!
I honestly cannot rave about this product enough and I will 100% be repurchasing when my little tub is all gone. It's a really good price too, considering how many mini facials you can get out of the tub for £5.50. Go and give it a whirl, trust me you won't be disappointed! I'd love to hear if you've tried this product and what you think of it :-)
