Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

I feel like I've spoken about this product a lot recently on my blog but not in a post on it's own. It's been in one of my Tips & Tricks posts and also I purchased this brand new one photographed in a recent haul. But I thought it was definitely worthy of a post to itself as for months now this is the only beauty tool I've been using for my base make up.

This sponge has various functions due to it's abnormal shape which I find work really well. There are rounded sides which can be used for blending large areas of the face. The precision tip which can be used for blemishes and imperfections. Finally the flat edge which contours around the eyes and nose. I completely agree with Real Techniques and use each side of the sponge where they have said to use them and find that it works flawlessly.

I find the most important thing about this sponge is to use it damp! This is especially for those, alike me, who have dry skin. It keeps the moisture locked in and puts some moisture back into the drier areas of your face. As I've mentioned I haven't used anything else other than this sponge to apply my foundation since my skin became much more dry. It has honestly worked wonders on my skin and leaves my foundation looking ten times better than when I used to use my hands before to apply it.

For £6 I could not recommend a better tool to apply foundation and I really am in love with it. Hence why I have repurchased it again and will continue to do so in the future. If you have dry skin and haven't tried this then I definitely recommend it and you can purchase it from many different online websites such as Feel Unique and Boots. Let me know if you've tried this and your thoughts on it :-)

Real Techniques Stippling Brush

Since getting into the whole make up scene and applying it 'properly' (using brushes), I have always loved the Real Techniques offerings. They have a brush for everything you will ever need whilst doing your make up. They make applying make up a breeze (most of the time) and more of a pleasure to do. I find when I'm using brushes I can take my time more with my make up rather than rushing it. I love lining up all my brushes ready for use, it's something that makes me happy.

I've always heard great things about the stippling brush but not until recently had I tried it. This brush actually can be used for such as foundation and also cream blushes. I will say I haven't actually used this to apply cream blush as I'm pretty sure I don't even own one, unless there's one hiding in my stash somewhere which I'm sure there might be. But I have used this for foundation on many occasions now. It's great for applying liquid foundation and really does apply it effortlessly. It gives a slightly lighter coverage than some of the other brushes Real Techniques have to offer. But this is great for those natural looking make up days or even for applying BB or CC creams.

Along with every other Real Techniques brush this one is super soft and feels great on application. I love the pink packaging and these are made so they stand up alone which is simply a great concept. I really do enjoy applying my foundation with this brush when I can enjoy it or even when I'm in a bit more of a rush as it's that simple. I either just pup a pump of foundation on the back of my hand and dab the brush into it as and when needed. Or I will pop blobs of foundation onto my face with my fingers and then use the brush to blend it all in.

Overall this is a great addition to my brush collection and Real Techniques brushes. I definitely want to keep investing in more brushes from the range and also from their new Bold Metals collection which looks absolutely insane! I'd love to know your favourite Real Techniques brush? :-)

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

I've been a naughty beauty blogger... Hit the back of my wrist now. I actually used this product once before photographing it! I know I know but I have my reasons. You do not know how long I've wanted to invest in a Real Techniques brush and you don't know how long I've had to put up with my old foundation brush which just didn't do anything for my foundation or my skin. I cannot express how excited I was when I finally took the plunge and got this in Boots a couple of weeks back.

I've never really been one to buy brushes (and this is still only my first proper purchased one!) but I can say that I think this brush has single handily changed that and I know want the whole Real Techniques collection. So when I purchased this for the price of £9.99 I thought it was pretty steep but I also knew what all you other beauty bloggers have said about this brush. I asked many of you on a bbloggers chat which brush should be my first and this one was the clear winner. So it was purchased and I just wanted it to be the next morning so that I could use it already!

I've been using this now for nearly a couple of weeks and oh my! It's just amazing, it really makes my foundation look flawless but really buffing it into the skin. It has dense bristles which work my liquid foundation into my skin really well. I can't believe I've been putting up with my naff brush for so long when this was just sitting on a shelf at my local Boots. It feels super soft on the face and just glides my foundation onto my skin whilst being easy to hold with a thick sturdy handle.

I have been using this brush with my Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum foundation and have been loving the look it's been leaving. It sinks the foundation into my skin flawlessly still giving me that lovely dewy finish. It also leaves me with a great coverage and unlike with my old brush I don't have to then go back over my face with my fingers to blend sharp lines as the brush does this for you. I just find this brush makes applying my foundation super quick and easy which I absolutely love. After using this I definitely want more of the Real Techniques brushes so I think I'm now hooked.. woops! (but so worth it!)

Have you tried this brush? I'd love to know your thoughts and also which brush I should buy next to get my collection going! What's your favourite Real Techniques brush? xo
