Vichy Normaderm Night Detox
I first heard about this product through Sammi from the Beauty Crush and knew I wanted to give it a go. When Escentual recently had 25% off everything, I couldn't help but pick it up to try out. I've previously tried skin care products from Vichy and have enjoyed using them so was hoping that this product would also live up to those.
I've been using this product for over 3 weeks now so have been able to get an all round view of this product. Firstly the packaging is a simple, sleek tube which I personally really like. The pointed nozzle allows you to easily get the right amount of product out and therefore not waste any.
The consistency of this product is like a serum and easily sinks into the skin. I take a small amount and spread it all over my face before I go to bed. It feels nice to apply and once applied on the skin and it also doesn't irritate my skin which I like. It's pretty lightweight so once applied you can pretty much plop your head straight down on your pillow.
When I wake up in the morning the first difference that I could easily see my face was a lot less oily. Normally when I wake up the first thing I need to do is clean my face because I wake up with a lot of oil build up but when using this product I find that it really doesn't feel clogged with oil. It feels like my skin can breathe slightly, and of course I still wash my face, but there's no rush to do it first thing.
I did find however that this product didn't help with my spots or spot marks. In the morning there was no change in my spots at all which I was disappointed about considering this was the main reason why I purchased this product. Although this doesn't help my spots it does leave my skin feeling clean in the morning and as I mentioned a lot less oily.
Overall this is a mediocre product and although it does have positives for my skin, it doesn't do the main thing I want it to do unfortunately. It is quite expensive at £15 and you can buy it from many different places; either online or in store, such as Escentual. As always skin care products work differently on everyone so this is my personal opinion. Let me know your thoughts :-)

Small Escentual Haul
I love browsing on Escentual's website as I seem to always find something I've never heard of or something that might not be new but is new to me. It also stocks some hard to get skin care items which I love. I was browsing on their website the other day when they had 25% off of everything so I couldn't help but purchase a couple of things. I had to restrain myself a lot to be honest, as I have just paid for a holiday so unfortunately couldn't go all out. Maybe next time hey?
Firstly I picked up a repurchase for me which is the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo+. This is an absolute skin care saviour for me and whenever it runs out I try not to repurchase but I always end up buying it again. It's not the cheapest product so with the discount I couldn't not buy a new one. It works wonders on my spot prone skin and helps to clear it. If you have spot prone skin and you haven't tried this then I 100% recommend it. Even though it has a hefty price tag it is definitely worth every penny and I will say now that I will continue to repurchase this in the future.
Next was something new for me and I heard about in one of Sammi from the Beauty Crush's videos. It's the Vichy Normaderm Night Detox which is also supposed to help with spot prone skin. This product you apply in the evening, before you go to bed as the name suggests. It is supposed to help clean your skin with pores looking minimised and imperfections appearing reduced. This sounded like an easy product to add into my evening skin care routine so I couldn't help but purchase it. Again it was a slightly pricier product, I believe it was around £15 but then I had the discount which obviously made it cheaper which is great.
I'm super excited about both of these products and cannot wait to reuse one and start using the other. Let me know if you've tried either of these products and your thoughts on them, I'd love to hear! And if you haven't before then definitely check out Escentual's website, I'm sure you'll find something you need to purchase :-)

Vichy Dermablend Foundation & Concealer
My oh my it's been a long time since I purchased these products and am only now getting around to writing about them on here, whoops! I purchased these from Escentual a while back when they were on offer as I had been dying to get my hands on them for quite some time. As you may well know I suffer with blemish prone skin so any product that's going to help that and conceal it is a winner for me if it works well. I wanted to do a post combining both of these products as they are aimed to work together so here goes..
Concealer
I'm going to start with the concealer as it's the one of the two products that I don't really get on with. I have quite dry skin therefore find the formula of this concealer too drying for my skin. It doesn't quite sit right on my skin and when applied to my blemishes it just simply makes them look cakey and even worse than they did before hand. So unfortunately this product really isn't for me but if you don't have dry skin then you should probably check this one out as it may suit your skin type better than mine.
Foundation
On the other hand I got on really well with the foundation from this Dermablend range. I think it must be the formula as this is a liquid foundation therefore not so drying as the concealer thankfully. This is a very high coverage foundation people and although yes it can be drying probably after a while of wear it just works. Although I do find it can be to overbearing in the summer months therefore what I tend to do is use this foundation as a concealer. I find this is the perfect way to conceal my spots/blemishes when I don't want that full coverage make up look. It conceals everything perfectly and as I mentioned doesn't dry them out. The staying power on this foundation is great, as you can imagine, I do however need to touch up with some powder on my oily t zone maybe half way through the day. Other than that, which is pretty normal, it's pretty set in stone and perfect for those long working days. The colour match to my skin is perfect, I have the shade 15 Opal which I believe is the lightest shade they have on offer. My preferred way of using this product is definitely as a concealer as I find that it just works so much better and is such a great product. Although I would say it's like a 2 in 1 product as it is aimed as a foundation which it also works well as.
Overall I'm super impressed with the foundation as it works amazingly at covering up those pesky blemishes. It is a shame about the concealer but that's just my skin type unfortunately and I'm sure it would work really well on other skin types. If you're after that super full on coverage foundation then definitely check this one out from Vichy, you can buy it on Escentual website but also from Boots. It is slightly on the pricier side but worth it if you suffer with blemish prone skin. Let me know if you've tried either of these products and your thoughts :-)

Escentual pharmacy haul #2
I do love ordering from Escentual, it really is just hassle free online shopping and they always seem to have some kind of offer on which is obviously great. I ordered these few bits a couple of weeks back now simple because I have always wanted to try the Vichy Dermablend collection and it was on offer so I couldn't resist.
So the first two bits I picked up and the main reason for this order was the Vichy Dermablend concealer and the fluid corrective foundation both in the shade 15 Opal. As I was ordering these online I was slightly weary of the colours I had chosen but actually they are the right shade for me since trying them out which I'm super pleased with. These products are aimed to cover, well basically everything. And being someone who suffers from blemishes I thought these would be great products to try out. I have been using them since and I'm still not completely sold on them but I will be doing a full review on them shortly so keep your eyes peeled for that. I'm unsure of the prices I paid for these I think the concealer was around £10 and the foundation around £11 with the discount so pretty good prices too.
Next I picked up the Avene Thermal Spring Water which I believe to be pretty popular among beauty bloggers. So I thought I would just pick up the small size to try it out and see what I think. This was super duper cheap as it was also discounted as I've said so I believe it was around £2 which is basically next to nothing. This spray is designed to do loads of different things from a simple refresh to setting your make up. I'm actually rather liking this so far but again a in depth review will be up soon.
And that's it, my short but hopefully sweet Escentual haul. I would definitely recommend browsing their website as they stock loads of great products. I hope you enjoyed this small haul and are having a nice weekend :-)

Escentual (French Pharmacy) haul
Recently I discovered this lovely website called 'Escentual'. I'm sure many of you may have heard of this site before but if you haven't then it's basically lots of French pharmacy items which obviously we can't get hold of in the UK! They have great deals on at the moment too on their french pharmacy items and it's free delivery if you spend over £30 which is a great deal.
Nuxe RĂªve de Miel Honey Lip Balm £6.33
I've heard so many good things about this lip balm and I seem to be suffering with some super dry lips recently. This is a super thick lip balm and feels super nourishing on the lips. It lasts for a great amount of time and I'm excited to keep using it! It's obviously slightly more expensive than your usual lip balm but it's definitely worth it and ten times better than my Dr.Lipp nipple balm.
Vichy Normaderm Anti-Imperfection Hydrating Care £9
Anything with the words 'anti-imperfection' catches my eye and again this is a brand I've heard lots about but never actually tried myself. This is aimed to care for your oily and imperfection prone skin, keeping it hydrated all day. I love the packaging of this, I like pumps they make things much simpler. I haven't used this too much but it is very hydrating and has a pleasant smell to it.
La Roche Posay Effaclar AI £7
Now I love the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo+ so I thought I would branch out into the brand and try something different. This is also help target blemishes and they say it's a precision breakout corrector. Another plus is that this is paraben free so there's no nasties in their which is always a good thing. I haven't tried this enough yet to give anything away but I'll let you know how I get on.
Klorane Nettle Shampoo £4.50
This shampoo is aimed at oily hair and said to give your scalp a bit of a detox. It's also meant to give you more time between washes which is something I would love. Having to wash my hair every other day can sometimes become a bit of a chore. I've only used this once so far and I did enjoy it but cannot give a full review just yet.
Klorane Mango Conditioner £4.87
I simply purchased this conditioner as it was suggested that with the nettle shampoo. This is aimed to protect, nourish and detangle your dry hair and this seriously smells amazing. Detangling and dry ends is what my hair suffers from so I had high hopes for this. Again I have only used once so a full review along with the shampoo will come soon I'm sure.
I would definitely recommend shopping on Escentual's website, they have great offers - currently 1/3 off French pharmacy items which is a great discount! The delivery was really fast and efficient also which was great. Let me know if you've shopped with Escentual before or if you've tried any of the products I purchased :-)
