Maybelline Super Stay 24 hour Concealer

I used to always be on the look out for a new concealer, one to cover those pesky spots and clear the under eye bags, but since having a good combo which included the famous Collection lasting perfection concealer and also the Benefit Boi-ing I had stopped looking. Until one day I stumbled across Laura from tinytwisst on YouTube here raving about this very concealer. I then couldn't help myself and ended up in Boots purchasing it.

First thing is the colour range well basically there's not many to choose from, when I went in there was only two shades to choose from which is slightly crazy but don't know whether there's more and it just wasn't fully stocked. But still not many to choose from so I went for the lightest shade available to me which is number 2 light beige. The colour is pretty exact, if anything slightly darker but can be easily blended.

Since purchasing this I've been using it religiously on my spots/blemishes and have absolutely been loving it! I haven't used this under my eyes as I like to have a slightly lighter colour concealer to do that to brighten them up a bit. It literally covers everything, no exaggeration. It's completely settled itself into my daily make up routine now and I don't think it'll be leaving any time soon. The applicator is an easy to use dome shape that doesn't carry too much product so you're not swamped with it on your face. The dome shape also makes it easy to know where you're actually applying the product.

It can easily be blended which I love and you're not left with any concealer lines. You barely need any product on the blemish to conceal it which is also nice meaning that it's not too cakey on the spot. Sometime I find with some concealers that you're forever applying concealer to try and hide it which really weighs the spot down which I hate the feeling of. So this concealer keeps it light but also conceals it completely so they're pretty much invisible!

The other plus of this product is the price, I believe it's just over £5, something random like £5.19, weird I know. So yes it is slightly more expensive compared to the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer but I totally think it's worth it. Don't get my wrong I still use my Collection one under my eyes due to the lighter shade which I love but for concealing everything else this is the perfect concealer!

The only slight downside is the fact that it states it should last for 24 hours which I don't totally agree with. Yes it does last a very long time but not 24 hours unfortunately. But that is honestly the only downside that I can find about this product so it really is amazing and I definitely recommend that you try it if you find yourself stuck in a rut with concealers. The packaging is pretty simple, nothing spectacular but just means it's kept easy and simple.

Overall I'm so pleased I made this purchase and am in love with it. If you're like me and want to hide those pesky spots completely then definitely give this a go! I'd love to know if you've tried this product and your thoughts on it so leave me a comment :-) speak soon! xo

  2. I didn't think the foundation lasted that long either, but it looks good. I would love to try the collection concealer though!
