Joules wish list

So right now I should probably be writing my uni assignment but hey, here's a new blog post for you! (about time too hey!) But it's true, my blog has had to kind of take a back seat since I've started uni simply due to the work load and the lack of free time I have at the moment. Doing a placement and being at uni and having a job is rather a lot to tackle, I'm sure you'll agree if you do the same. But anyway browsing the Joules website after receiving emails from them about all their new products and offers etc but I'm only focusing on two specific items from them which I adore.

Joules range of Quilted Jackets are very well known. Everyone loves a quilted jacket from Joules, well I certainly do. They are simply timeless, they do a range of different colours in the first one pictured but I specifically liked this olive green although I was also drawn to the gorgeous raspberry colour (which you can see by clicking the link above). There's also another version of jacket which is again timeless but with a hood. No word of a lie a coat with a hood is always a winner with me, when you find yourself in that situation with no umbrella and no hood, what do you do? Wish you had both or one of those things! So the need for a hood, especially in the UK is a must! Joules jackets also have the most gorgeous lining either a pretty floral or an on trend tartan which I think tops off the look of these lovely jackets.

Joules range of Duvet Covers are simply to die for! My oh my, they are just gorgeous and would look perfect in that kind of shabby chic bedroom. Personally I love the floral ones (as you can see the two I've chosen are both floral) but there are a few other patterns to choose from. I believe these are relatively new to Joules, forgive me if I'm wrong, and they do kind of remind me of the Cath Kidston kind of style but obviously with their Joules spin on it. The other cool thing about these duvet covers is that they are reversible, which I think is a nice feature to have. So if you're not feeling the floral (in this case) then these two have a nice and simple stripe on the reverse which you can also have on show. They include tonnes of different colours within the pattern so your bedroom could really be any colour but I think I'd like it with a plain, simple wall as the duvet would then look like more of a statement piece in the room.

Overall I love Joules, especially the jackets and new home section but they obviously have a lot more to offer on their website which you can check out too! All their fashion items are pretty timeless and don't really go out of fashion which is nice when you're spending that little bit more on items of clothing. I'd love to know your favourite piece from Joules :-) Hope you're all having a nice and relaxing Sunday.. now I need to think assignment... xo

Boohoo wish list

Well what a blustery morning it is for those in the UK, I've already ventured out to work whilst it was like playing dodgems on the roads avoiding fallen down trees and branches, and I've come straight back home again. Unfortunately there was absolutely no electricity at my nursery so I've got a day off, woo hoo! Although I really wished I could have stayed in bed other than getting up, using liquid eyeliner as whiskers to make me look like a cat (we were supposed to be having a Halloween party today). So overall it's been a pretty hectic morning already so what better post to do than a wishlist, actually it's pretty bad because in this mood it's twice as tempting to buy.

Normally Boohoo isn't somewhere I would normally shop, no real reason there's just so many websites I forget half of them when browsing online. But I came across it the other day and found some bloody lovely things if I do say so, I simply fell in love and then made a wish list. Boohoo is a relatively cheap online site which offers everything fashion and accessory wise so it's perfect.

Firstly the smock trend, it's been about for a little while and seems to just be everywhere, don't get me wrong I love the trend it's just one of those 'can I pull it off myself?' kinds of trends. So on Boohoo I located smock tops which I thought was different to the usual smock dresses I've seen. They had a few patterns to choose from, mostly floral, and to be honest I liked all of the patterns but this one seemed the most autumnal out of all of them colour wise.

Oversized jumpers in the Autumn/Winter is a must have for me! I literally live in them so the two in this wish list are no exception! The plain olive green one looks super chunky and again comes in many different colours so if the green isn't your favourite definitely check out to see what other colours they offer. I would definitely get these in the next size up too so that they're nice and warm but that's just how I like to wear them. The other jumper in this wish list is pretty similar but this one has a really pretty floral pattern on, I've seen this kind of jumper before and really like the pattern. Again as the other jumper there were a couple of other colours to choose from and again I'd get it nice and big for the winter.

I seem to have a bit of an obsession with midi skirts and seem to have collected a fair few since the summer, so it's no surprise that I've included one in this wish list. I love this one as it has autumnal colours in and obviously floral which again is very in for the season. I think paired with a chunky jumper and some boots it's the perfect outfit for autumn and then adding some chunky tights when it gets even colder in the winter (which it definitely will do if you're living in the UK like me, boo!)

Finally a chunky knit cardigan, they're always in because the look of them is just so effortless. Cardigans always seem to be the one thing in my wardrobe that I do not have enough of, especially chunky knitted ones like this one. It's also a gorgeous space dye print of blue, purple and red which I really like and not just your simple plain cable knit ones (which I also absolutely love). This one is also priced really well compared to other knitted cardigans I've seen which I think can sometimes be a bit too pricey so that nudged me towards this one as well I must say. Cardigans can be worn with literally everything and anything so they really are a staple piece like the chunky knit jumpers.

So that's my Boohoo wish list! I'm holding out until payday on Friday when hopefully all of these beauties will be mine, hehe :) I'd love to know what you think of Boohoo and if you've shopped there before! Now it's time to chill and watch a bit of This Morning, happy Monday!

Wish, wish, wish... Want

1. Mini Shopper - Zara
2. Cream floral cut out playsuit - River Island
3. Chunky twist chain necklace - Matalan
4. Silver stacking ring set - Shop Dixi
5. Pansy smock tunic - Topshop
6. Scallop lace vest - Topshop
7. Real Techniques Stippling brush - Amazon

Why is it that straight after payday my wish list just grows and grows?! Payday feels as if it hasn't even happened for me this month due to having to pay a bit more of my car off and a recent garage bill of £200, OUCH! So the things on this list will probably be waiting here until next payday when I may treat myself.. It's such a beautiful day today, literally no clouds in the sky so the pretty florals and pastel colours are beautiful in this weather. I am in love with the Zara bag, it also comes in green, white, orange and black and I honestly like 3 of the colours but chose the boring black picture on this wish list. I love silver jewellery simply because my Michael Kors watch is silver and I wear it every single day. These are both totally wearable pieces of jewellery and I can never buy enough jewellery! Now I really, really want to start a new collection of brushes and the first I have my eyes on is the stippling brush as I've heard so many good reviews :)

What's on your current wish list?

Floral Swing Dress

Dress: Asos
Watch: Michael Kors
Tights: Primark
Lipstick: MUA Shade 2

It feels like forever ago since I last did a post, it's been one of those weeks where I feel like I've got loads of new bits and bobs to blog about but literally just haven't got round to photographing anything. So here I am on my day off finally getting around to it! And I also apologise for the quality of the last picture, my camera decided to give up on me half way through taking these pictures so had to turn to my trusty iPhone but I only tried to use one of the pictures from there.

The weather is finally starting to look a bit more spring like out there *fingers crossed* and in this outfit post I have a long sleeved dress and tights on, error. If you follow me on twitter (@natalieellis23) then you may know that I sneakily did a bit of shopping on Asos the other night, but I couldn't resist they currently have a 70% off sale which is pretty darn amazing! I literally had to narrow my shopping bag right down before I even allowed myself to check out.

This dress is one of the bits I ordered, I instantly fell in love with it. Although the black isn't so spring/summery I love the pastel lilac and mint flowers that cover the dress entirely. It's a gorgeous swing dress which I think is so versatile, in the pictures above I've literally just chucked it on but I think this could also be worn with a belt around the waist to give it a bit more shape. It also has a cute peter pan collar and I love collars so that's a winner with me. Although I've paired it with tights it's a nice length so can also be worn without them in the summer months to come. I've just made this look extra casual and when I popped out this morning I simply paired it with my converse. But the versatility of this dress is amazing so I think it can be totally dolled up for a night out with heels too.

Now I'll tell you the best part about this dress.. it was in the sale for £10!!! I'll give you a moment to compose yourselves... I know, I couldn't believe the price when I saw it and the fact that it was still in stock in my size was a total surprise. It was reduced from £28 so it was a huge bargain and who doesn't love a bargain hey! I also got another bargain whilst shopping from Asos that I will feature in another outfit post soon, if I decided to keep it, I'm humming about it at the moment! But also with free postage from Asos it's a total bargain so I'd head down there asap ladies :)

Are you a fan of the swing dresses? Hope you're making the most of the sunshine that has finally appeared xo
