No7 stay perfect - Poolside Blue

The No7 £5 voucher from Boots are back so yes, I'm grabbing all the vouchers from my family and friends and getting these varnishes as with the voucher they are only £2! This time I went for quite a bright blue. It's called Poolside Blue and I fell in love (I also don't have a nail varnish this colour so thought it was perfect) Also this week I invested in the OPI correct & clean up pen. Even though I LOVE painting my nails and do it all the time I still get varnish on the tops of my fingers and usually use a cotton bud, although this helps I still sometimes am left with a smudge. So thought this OPI pen would solve that problem and I must say... it really does help! It's just like nail varnish remover but on the end of a pen and that fact that it's a nice and thin shape helps A LOT! It means you can get into the small places where nail varnish drips into without ruining the varnish that's on your nails! I really would recommend this product. Again on these nails I used my Rimmel top and base coat and Avon liquid freeze to dry them off :-)

Avon liquid freeze

My mum receives the Avon catalogue and I hardly ever find anything that really takes my interest, apart from the nail varnishes of course! So when I had a little look last month I was browsing through the sale leaflet and came across this.. Avon nail experts liquid freeze quick dry nail spray. It was half price therefore only £3 so I thought why not! I just literally tried it for the first time this morning when I painted my nails using the Rimmel 500 Peppermint nail varnish and OH MY GOD! This product is actually amazing!! It took literally a few seconds before I thought "I'll see if they're dry" and they were! I was shocked as to how quick it had dried but I definitely reccommend it. Even if you don't receive the Avon catalogue then Avon do have a website so I'm sure you can find it on there!! Don't hesitate.. BUY IT!! XOXO

Birthday post 23.02.12

23.02.12, yesterday was my 19th birthday (and also my mums birthday too!) and boy was I in for a lovely day full or surprises! I felt like a little kid again as I woke up twice during the night not being able to sleep. Finally at about 8:30 I got out of bed and ventured downstairs. Saying 'Happy Birthday' to my mum and having it said back, I'll never know what it's like to not share my birthday with my mum but I do love it! So the juicy bits.. I FINALLY got my hands on my MICHAEL KORS watch and I absolutely love it!! My boyfriend's been telling me that I'm going to get muscles form on my left arm as it's heavy, haha! And on the topic of my boyfriend he brought me a beautiful Shamballa bracelet (and TOWIE series 3, my favourite) and putting my new watch and shamballa on the same wrist really defines the word BLING. I got some lovely other presents which I have taken pictures of such as; decorations for my room, soap and glory make up, flower brooch, tweezers in the shape of a woman, posh nail file, Emeli Sande CD (get your hands on it), chocolate, floral snood and money. I couldn't have asked for anything more and during the day, including going shopping and going to Prezzo's for lunch with my mum and sister, I really did have the perfect day and have to thank everyone who made it so special xxxxxx

Rimmel London nails

Before I headed out for my boyfriends birthday meal I had to quickly paint my nails and take a few pictures for a short, but sweet new blog! At the moment Boots have 2 for £6 on Rimmel Lycra Pro nail varnishes and have taken advantage of the offer many times purely because I love these varnishes! They come in many different colours, last ages and the applicator brush is really nice and easy. So when I went to Norwich today I chose 2 new ones; I went for 500 Peppermint and 397 Beige Babe. I'll soon be finding it hard to find colours which I don't already have! On my nails above I used 297 Show Off, 045 Misty Jade and 002 Disco Gold. I wanted bright, stand out nails and I think this does it perfectly especially with the glittery top layer! To top the look off I then used Rimmel Top & Base Coat :-) Try these varnishes and let me know what you think XOXO

OPI Gold shatter

So after a long wait for this to come through the post it finally came! I painted my nails black last night hoping that it would come this morning and... it did!! So quickly before dashing out to Norwich I whapped a layer on and voila, I'm in love! And now I totally want to get my hands on the silver OPI version. Putting a top coat on completes the look and makes shiney, glittery nails :-) have you got any shatter lacquers? Xo

Chelsea girl

One of my favourite shops, River Island, have got E4's Made in Chelsea girls to style the new Chelsea girl spring collection. Now as a massive fan of Made in Chelsea I was automatically drawn to look at the spring collection and view the videos on the River Island website. The four Made in Chelsea girls who have helped style are; Cheska, Louise, Binky and Rosie. I have posted the pictures from the River Island website of the chealsea girl page and chosen three of my most favourite items from the new spring collection! Have a look around the new collection and let me know which pieces are your favourites :-) p.s. another plus/surprise is the price!!

No7

I ventured off to Norwich on my day off this week and stumbled across 3 for 2 in boots across ALL No7 products and as I was running out of some stuff this was perfect timing! I love No7 products as they really do do wonders to me and my skin. So I purchased
  • Beautiful skin starter kit
  • Beautiful skin night cream
  • Beautiful skin purifying exfoliator
  • Gentle toner
  • Blemish stick
  • Intelligent balance mousse foundation
Last night I tried out the exfoliator and the night cream. The exfoliator worked really well and left my skin feeling really soft. It's quite a hard exfoliator which works for me! The night cream was also a hit and it smelt good too, bonus. Try some out for yourself, I highly doubt you'll be disappointed! :-)

Peter pan

Lately I've really been wanting to get my hands on a peter pan necklace. When the tops, shirts and blouses all came out with the peter pan collars they were a total hit and I can admit I have many blouses with the collar!! They look so chic and cute. I think the peter pan necklace is even better, it means that you can pair it with a plain tee to jazz it up or a pretty blouse for a night out! I found the bottom necklace on a random website I stumbled across and found out it's only £10!! Which is clearly an absolute bargain, the website is.. http://www.dollybowbow.co.uk/ so have a look there's some nice vintage jewellery on there! :-)

Nicki Minaj OPI 'Metallic 4 Life'

As soon as I saw that Nicki Minaj had released an OPI range I knew I had to have a look as I knew it would be wacky in one way or another! I love black nail varnish as it can be worn with anything so when I saw this 'Metallic 4 Life' lacquer i just had to get my hands on one! So yet again I browsed eBay to try and get the best deal and it turned up on my front door step yesterday and even though I only painted my spotty nails yesterday I had to remove them to try this! Again I used my Rimmel top and base coat before and after. Now I just want the rest of Nicki Minaj's collection even more..

Spotty nails

One of the latest fashion trends is patterned nails and of course I absolutely LOVE this trend! So I decided to try, for the very first time, spotty nails on myself. I must admit it was rather tricky to get the spots nicely shaped and on some I did fail, but on the other hand I'm really pleased with how they turned out and think they look really chic! I used Rimmel Lycra pro in baby blue and then used the white from my french manicure L&B set for the spots and to top it off I used Rimmel base and top coat before and after :-) I've seen in all the recent magazines about Myleene Klass nail wraps and I'm really eager to get my hands on a pack of these and try them out!! Apparently they're really easy and one of the main things... NO DRYING TIME GIRLS! (even better)
