Amphora Aromatics Seaweed & Aloe Refreshing Eye Gel

As I mentioned in a recent post the weather in the UK has finally become very hot indeed and with that I much prefer lighter skin care products and make up too. As much as I would love to go out and buy a whole new skin care routine and a whole new make up range that is slightly out of my reach right now, especially considering I have so many other products that need using. Anyway I have been rummaging through my collection to find products which will be more weather appropriate. Recently Amphora Aromatics sent me their new refreshing eye gel which I thought would be absolutely perfect for this hot weather we've been having.

Firstly let me start with the packaging which I absolutely love. I know bloggers always say it shouldn't always matter about the packaging and it's about the product but c'mon, the packaging is always a bonus. The packaging of this product feels really high end which I love. The pump is great especially on an eye gel as one pump is just the right amount for both eyes. This product can be used in a few different ways which I also love, a versatile product is always right up my street. This eye gel can remove your eye make up, help hydrate and restore the eye area and also help cool the eye area after sun exposure. Another thing I love about this product is that it is full of all natural ingredients including aloe and seaweed which both have their positives. Both of these ingredients can help improve the appearance of the eye area in general.

Anyway enough about the packaging, onto the product. I must say normally an eye gel is the one skin care product that I'm the most lazy with if I'm honest. This one seems to have changed that due to it being so versatile and I seem to now be using this particular eye gel more and more. It definitely seems like it has become a staple in my skin care routine. As soon as I apply this product it makes my eyes feel 100% refreshed, more awake and helps hide my dark circles. I have used this product also to remove my make up and I can say that I was really impressed. I normally have quite sensitive eyes but I found this was perfect due to the natural ingredients that it's full of. The results were great and it effortlessly removed my eye make up which can normally be very stubborn.

Overall I'm super impressed with this product as I love that you can use it in a variety of different ways. I love the packaging and the fact that it's all natural ingredients for my sensitive eye area. I would definitely recommend checking out Amphora Aromatics for this product and everything else they have to offer. They are a great brand and I will definitely continue using this product :-)

Montagne Jeunesse black seaweed peel off masque

Now I know this is only one application for a face mask so for it to have it's own blog post it must have impressed me. I purchased this from my latest Boots haul (here), one of the main reasons being that I've never tried a peel off mask, crazy hey. But also as I've heard seaweed is great for the skin and for blemishes so I couldn't not pick it up. Also this small, one off face mask is only £1 on Boots which is great considering the results.

I simply applied this after cleansing my face and it went on like a dream. Easy to apply and it didn't irritate my sensitive skin. I left this on for a good 20 minutes, it advises 15-20 minutes but I did find that I still had some wet patches which I knew wouldn't peel off. So after waiting for those random patches to dry, it was ready to peel off. My gosh, at first it felt super weird. Considering I had never tried one before I had no clue really of what to expect. The mask didn't peel off all in one go but was pretty easy and I peeled it off in around 3-4 pieces if you will. After the mask was all gone I rinsed my face with warm water just to make sure it really was completely clean.

The results were great! My skin felt super duper soft and really felt as if it had had a deep clean. It sounds silly but I just kept touching my face, which is naughty, but it really did feel great. This mask is such a great "pick me up" mask due to the result it leaves. My skin was definitely in need of a good clean and this mask 100% done the job for me. In the future I will definitely pick up this mask again when I feel my skin needs it.

This is such a great mask for the price you pay, you really cannot go wrong. I would definitely love to check out the other face masks from this range. Let me know if you've tried any and also have a great weekend :-)

The Body Shop seaweed clarifying toner

As most other make up bloggers, I'm a sucker for a travel sized mini product and here's one. I'll admit I'm not normally one to frequently shop at The Body Shop but am always interested in their products. If you've seen my previous haul from The Body Shop here then you'll see one of the reasons why I couldn't resist picking this product up and also I can now tell you that I wish I picked up more.

The Body Shop says:

'This alcohol-free, refreshing and purifying toner helps to rebalance combination skin.
  • Removes traces of cleanser, make-up and impurities
  • Purifies
  • Refreshes
  • Prepares skin for moisturiser'

I always use a toner in my everyday skin care routine as I love how they still manage to find a way to get rid of impurities and make up from your face. And this one also does exactly that, I tend to use this after cleansing and washing my face. It simply just freshens up your face and does not leave it feeling stripped of anything. I have combination skin with an oily t zone and this toner leaves my skin refreshed, matte and either ready for the day or for sleep. It's perfect for use in both the morning and the evening. The smell is also super fresh, light and doesn't linger for long once applied to the face. My skin can react to certain products but this toner is really gentle on the skin leaving it feeling super soft. I picked this sample size up for 75p which is an absolute bargain and if you can still find them at that price then buy them all!

Overall I'm really impressed with this toner and considering the price I paid I definitely wish I had picked up some more! The full size price is slightly more than a drug store price but The Body Shop always have a voucher code lurking so check those out too! You can buy this toner here for £8.50. I'd love to know if you've tried this product or any other from the Seaweed range :-)
